Hundreds of thousands of votes expected for Lamont Sports Park in the Kraft Heinz Project Play competition.
It was a packed Rotary Hall that broke out in applause when the last vote was cast.
At the hall alone, over 111,000 votes were cast and that doesn't count all those done at home and elsewhere.
Mayor Luke Charbonneau says the community rallied around the challenge 100%.
Now we wait.
Charbonneau says you're invited to come to the Bruce County Museum at 5:30 this afternoon for the big announcement on TSN's Sports Centre.
A TSN crew will be on site to catch the moment, as the mayor says, when we win the competition against 3 other communities across Canada.
The winner gets $250,000 for their project–in our case– the Lamont Sports Park.
