Locally owned Coffee Shop – Rabbit Dash has hopped down the street to the former Lido Garden location on Goderich Street in Port Elgin.
Owner Jonathan Hepplewhite says the move was overnight.
“It was quick, we opened here Tuesday morning but we were open at the old location on Monday, until 8 at night. So… it was kind of a wild day,” he says.
Although the new location is slightly smaller it boasts a new “upgraded” kitchen and more room for the internal record store.
“It still has the same charm that the old space did, just a bit more dressed up. It actually has a lot more open space for people to stand, chat and roam around and has a much better flow to it.”
Although the new exterior is painted gray Hepplewhite has placed two red benches out front to pay homage to the previous storefronts colour.
“Once I got our red benches out front there and our sign up, it just fit.”
Hepplewhite was unable to divulge what will be going into the old storefront location.
