A Lucknow man is seeking the NDP nomination for Huron-Bruce in the upcoming federal election.
Farmer Tony McQuail has announced he plans to seek the nod this year for the federal New Democrats.
McQuail is no stranger to politics, having run for the NDP in 1980, and serving three terms as a trustee on the Huron County School Board.
He tells us electoral reform has been a sticking point since his first foray into senior politics, nearly forty years ago.
McQuail is calling for energy conservation and renewable energy to deal with inflation linked to rising oil prices.
When it comes to helping the agricultural community in Huron and Bruce counties, McQuail says he would like to see more incentives for farmers for increasing greener practices.
It is expected the Huron-Bruce NDP Association will confirm their nominee in the riding this September.
