CHL Import Draft
The 2019 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft is today beginning at 11 am.
The Swift Current Broncos of the Western Hockey League have the first pick while the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League have the second pick.
The Owen Sound Attack of the OHL are slotted in at # 26 & # 86 and their stated plan is to use both selections.
Last year's import pick Manuel Alberg will not be returning to the team and Moritz Seider who was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in the first round by Detroit is on the Attack's ” frozen ” list.
On another note, the Attack will reportedly announce a free agent signing with European ties before the weekend.
Czuczman Signs
Port Elgin native Kevin Czuczman was resigned by the Pittsburgh Penguins of the NHL
Czuczman & the Penguins agreed on a 2 way contract.
Last year with the Penguins AHL club at Wilkes-Barre Scranton, the 28 year old Czuczman scored 4 times and had 21 points.
Czuczman has played the last 2 seasons with the Penguins AHL affiliate and has been a ” plus ” player in both seasons.
In his career, Czuczman has played 13 games in the NHL with the New York Islanders.
