It's been nearly two years since the devastating fire at Chesley Lake Camp in Allenford.
A grand opening was held over the long weekend as dignitaries, guests and the communtiy gathered to celebrate the completion of reconstruction since the blaze.
The July 1st, 2017 blaze completely destroyed the structure that housed the restaurant, tuck shop, office and meeting space.
Since then, the camp used temporary measures like tents, trailers and food trucks in order to keep business going during the busy summer season.
Camp Assistant Manager Colleen Trask Seaman says the new $2 million building is fully accessible and has a lift that goes from the first floor to the lower level.
It has a new restaurant as well as a large meeting room, both of which overlook the lake.
Trask-Seaman says they've added a patio, latte bar and smoothie bar.
She says the new building was in use by the end of the season last year, but this is the first reall opportunity for them to celebrate a grand opening.
The Chelsey Lake Camp has two golf courses, rental cottages and 72 private cottages.
Trask Seaman says the camp is almost fully booked for the summer though they do have the occasional vacancy.
