Unknown suspects appear to be targeting car wash businesses in the area to steal cash from as police report a number of recent break-ins.
Grey County OPP say on March 29 just before 12:30 a.m. officers responded to an alarm call at the Double Bubble Car Wash in Markdale.
Provincial Police say officers arrived in minutes to find the business had been forcibly entered.
OPP say the culprits had time to cause damage to the alarm system and take the video recording device at the car wash before fleeing the scene.
Police say this comes following a break, enter and theft reported on March 28 at Chatsworth Car Wash where unknown perpetrators caused damage to property and stole cash.
Owen Sound Police also responded to a break-in at Sunrise Carwash sometime overnight on March 29.
City police say the culprits used a tool to cut into the change machine and left with bills and change.
And on Saturday, South Bruce OPP say unknown suspects attempted to gain entry to Sal's Suds Car Wash in Tara around 3:20 a.m.
Police say a motion alarm was set off and officers responded quickly. OPP say the perpetrators never gained entry to the business and left the scene in an unknown direction.
