The boat launch by the Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound is being revitalized.
The City of Owen Sound has teamed up with a local group of anglers and hunters, Outdoor Adventures, to replace some older sections of the docks.
The work has already begun and is expected to take no more than two weeks. The main focus will be replacing some of the docks siding.
“All the work is being done by volunteers and is financially supported by the city and the Tom Williams Fund.” Adam Parsons, the Manager of Parks and Open Space states.
The project aims to be completed with the docks refurbished when the boating season starts. For the city, that is April 1 when passes for the boat launch go on sale.
