A Bruce Power supplier is setting up shop in Owen Sound.
Stevcon Packaging and Logistics are moving into the old PPG building.
Stevcon makes wooden crates and packaging material for suppliers.
It will be providing shipping supplies for Bruce Power's refurbishment project.
Stevecon will move in with BWXT and Brotech.
Manager of Community Development and Marketing with the City of Owen Sound Brent Fisher says the company has some familiarity with the city and a professional relationship with the property owner, Peter Van Dolder.
He says the old PPG building is a great spot and being close to their customer base is important.
The news comes as Tenneco is about to close its auto parts manufacturing plant later this year.
Fisher says the addition of Stevcon Packaging and Logistics is great for Owen Sound.
He says anytime you can bring in industrial business and jobs it is a positive thing.
Fisher says Stevcon has registered for the regional job fair on February 21st at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
There are also openings posted on the YMCA Employment Services job board.
