The Heritage Place shopping centre in Owen Sound is getting a new tenant.
Leon's Furniture is moving into the former Sears location this summer.
The store will house 70,000 square feet of retail space and administration offices.
General Manager of Heritage Place Michelle Schleimer says both parties have been working on this for quite some time.
She says they are thrilled to be having Leon's at the mall which will be their fifth anchor tenant.
Schleimer says Leon's is a top-selling store in Owen Sound.
She says having the store visible along 16th Street East will be beneficial to them.
Schleimer says staff at Leon's will be working on installing fixtures in February.
She says both Leon's staff and mall staff will be working together on construction and are aiming for an opening sometime in August.
Leon's Furniture is currently located on 7th Street East east of Highway 6 in Owen Sound.
