Hi, this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire. “
After a string of 6 straight Friday night road games to launch the season, the Owen Sound Attack have the night off.
This weekend will be active for the Attack with the annual doubleheader at home against the Erie Otters on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
Keep in mind, the Sunday afternoon contest between the Attack & Otters will be broadcast live on 560 CFOS with Mark McKelvie calling the game.
For Attack fans, and hockey fans in general, I’ll give you some nice options
In Junior C, or PJHL action, the Kincardine Bulldogs are at Walkerton tonight to face the Hawks.
Kincardine is trying to catch Wingham for 1st while the Hawks reside 4th in the Pollock Division
Game time tonight is 8:20 pm in Walkerton
Meanwhile in Senior Hockey, there’s two games in the neighbourhood tonight
The Shallow Lake Crushers are at home to the Lucknow Lancers at 8:30 this evening.
Plus, at the Plex in Port Elgin, the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks host the defending champion Clinton Radars.
The Winterhawks will wear special Remembrance Day third jerseys tonight, jerseys that will be worn one-time-only and then auctioned off during intermissions and postgame by guest auctioneer Bill Walker, MPP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound.
Proceeds from the jersey auction will benefit the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 155, Southampton.
So, Walkerton, Shallow Lake & the Plex.
As always there’s plenty of local hockey action on a Friday night.
I’m Fred Wallace
