The Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation has a new Honourary Chair for the 2018-19 Light the Way Campaign.
Foundation Executive Director Sally Kidson says Saugeen Shores Barrister and Solicitor Judy Rich will lead the way as the Foundation team takes on the task of helping to raise $150,000 for new equipment for Saugeen Memorial Hospital in Southampton.
Kidson says Judy is no stranger to the Foundation, having volunteered with the 98 the Beach Radiothon in the past.
Rich lives in Port Elgin with her partner Dr. David Billings.
Some of her many volunteer activities include being a Board Member on the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Rotary Club of Port Elgin
Rich says she looks forward to working with the community to help achieve the $150,000 fund raising goal.
Foundation Chair Jim Barbour says work on this year's campaign has been going on for some time now and he looks forward to a successful campaign that will benefit everyone.
The Light the Way Campaign officially begins on Monday, November 12th 4:30pm, with a special ceremony at the Southampton Hospital site.
Light the Way Day is Thursday, December 13th with a 12-hour Radiothon at 98 the Beach, from 6am to 6pm.
