Up to 50-jobs are up for grabs as another Bruce Power supplier locates in Bruce County.
Kinectrics had a ground-breaking ceremony at its new 37,000 square foot facility at the Bruce Energy Centre near Tiverton (NOV 30).
President & CEO David Harris says they are investing 15-million-dollars in the Tiverton plant and in the warehouse facility they’ve purchased in Teeswater.
Work on the Teeswater property is expected to start next Spring with a 40,000 square foot building, along with several acres of land for possible expansion.
Harris told the crowd a Kinectrics Job and Information Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, December 13th at the Lake Huron Learning Centre on Queen Street in Kincardine.
He says they expect to create “30-to-50 long term, well-paying, highly skilled jobs.”
Harris says they’re looking for engineers, technologists and administrative staff, among others to join the team.
Kinectrics is a leading testing, inspection, certification and consulting company with over 25 unique laboratory and testing facilities for the electricity industry.
Bruce Power President & CEO Mike Rencheck says they’ve been doing business with Kinectrics for years and with a facility like the one in Tiverton, “They’ll be an important part of our business going along into the future.”

On Wednesday, November 29th, ABRAFLEX, a certified Aboriginal business, officially opened its 12,000 square foot manufacturing facility on 44-acres of land in Paisley, with a ribbon cutting.
ABRAFLEX will produce plastic suits for Bruce Power, used in radiation protection.
The company is also able to provide all major brands of joint sheeting and mechanical packings used to make gaskets or cut-to-size and shape products.
