A 31 year old former Tara woman has pled guilty to drug offences and been sentenced in an Owen Sound court.
Sarah Posthumus entered the guilty plea on Thursday, October 18th on charges of trafficking in testosterone, and possession of both meth and oxycodone.
She was given a suspended sentence, 12 months probation along with a 10 year weapons ban and she must submit a DNA sample.
Posthumus was charged along with a Sauble Beach man after a two month probe by the RCMP, the OPP and Owen Sound police.
The charges were in connection with the production and distribution of steroids, through a business in Owen Sound, but charges against the man were withdrawn earlier.
Meanwhile, Posthumus is facing charges in Alberta of 1st degree murder and attempted murder.
She was charged in 2015 along with Shane Tym of Chilliwack, B.C. and their trial is set to get underway on Monday, October 30th, in Edmonton.
The trial is scheduled to run until December 8th.
The two were charged in the shooting death of 30 year old Adrian Gregory of Ottawa who’s body was found in a burned out Jeep near Edmonton in December of 2014.
Another man in the Jeep was also shot but survived.
