A 39 year old man has drowned at Sauble Beach.
He is identified as Dennis Bowman of Toronto.
Bruce Peninsula OPP were called just after 4:30 in the afternoon on Saturday about an incident at Shore Road Beach on the Saugeen First Nation side of Sauble.
Witnesses told the OPP that a man had been paddle boarding on Lake Huron.
He fell into the water, became separated from his board and they said he appeared to be in distress.
Bowman was not wearing a life jacket.
Witnesses went into the water to help but lost sight of the man.
Police were on scene when the victim was pulled to shore without vital signs.
Life-saving efforts (CPR) were initiated, but the Bowman was pronounced dead while on the way to hospital.
A post mortem was ordered to determine the exact cause of death.
