Muxlow Pharmacy has been a fixture in Meaford since 1903.
This week it has re-opened, after a make-over as a Rexall corporate store.
Former owners Dave Glass and Chris Davies have sold the business to Rexall and retired.
Many of the store’s employees will continue to work there. This includes Manager, Laurie Jones who has been on staff for 42 years.
Jones says the store will continue to fill prescriptions, and offer all the same kinds of products and services as before.
There will be new products added to the line-up as well including a basic grocery section, and a wider range of products under the Rexall brand.
Among the features of the Rexall branding will be the return of Hallmark Cards, something Jones says she thinks the public is looking for. As well, they have lowered the age for Seniors’ Discount Tuesdays savings from 65. Now anyone over 55 can take advantage.
She says she hopes the public will notice an even better level of service than before.
