Tapping into Wi-Fi is about to get a whole lot easier in downtown Kincardine.
A new partnership between Bruce Telecom, the Municipality and the Kincardine BIA will see a new public WiFi Network set-up along the Queen Street corridor from Broadway Street over to Victoria Park.
Bart Cameron, President and CEO of Bruce Telecom, tells 98 The Beach (Bayshore Broadcasting News) it’s something that the Municipality of Kincardine wanted to do to try and differentiate themselves from other Municipalities.
The cost to install the network in downtown Kincardine is a shared cost between the Municipality and the Kincardine BIA.
The end product will come at no cost to the user; for visitors and tourists, it will be a limited service based on time of usage and amount of data used.
Bruce Telecom customers will have unlimited, free access to WiFi included with their existing Bruce Telecom plan.
Along with the new FREE WiFi service, Bruce Telecom now has a fresh new look.
Cameron says they’ve updated their branding and presence in the community, including a new logo resembling the share symbol seen on Social Networking platforms which, as Cameron notes, is no accident.
A new Bruce Telecom Website has also been launched as part of their fresh new look and drive to stay connected with the community.
