We’re at that time of the year when I want the opposite…
I don’t want hockey, curling, Bluewater Athletics or Winter in general.
Instead, I’m visualizing Sauble Beach, Craigleith Park, Hanover Raceway, fastball and lacrosse.
The local lacrosse season is more than 2 months away but both the Senior & Junior NorthStars have their schedules and itineraries established.
As always, both Owen Sound entries start on the road; the Junior NorthStars at Six Nations and St Catherines April 21st & 22nd, the Senior NorthStars at Kitchener on May 6th.
Home Openers ?
The Junior Stars host Elora April 27th.
The Senior Stars entertain Six Nations May 13th.
What stands out this year is a joint venture, actually a triple play for Owen Sound Lacrosse on Saturday June 17th.
On the 17th of June, the Senior North Stars face Kitchener at 4 and the Juniors follow at 8 pm against Welland, all of which is wrapped around the annual Owen Sound Minor Lacrosse Tournament Weekend.
…….but lacrosse is a long way off.
For now, it’s back to hockey, curling, Bluewater Athletics & Winter.
