Three new tenants will be moving into the old Zellers location at Heritage Place Shopping Centre this year.
General Manager of Heritage Place Shopping centre Michelle Schleimer says two leases have now been signed with Urban Planet and Giant Tiger.
Schleimer says negotiations continue with a third potential tenant to fill up the rest of the location.
Urban Planet will be located near the food court and will take up 15 thousand square feet of retail space.
Meanwhile, Giant Tiger is relocating from the West side of Owen Sound into the Mall.
Schleimer says they were able to offer more space, so the outlet will occupy 25 thousand square feet at Heritage Place.
Neither store will be open for several months as renovation work is planned first.
The changes follow the announcement that Nagel’s Overstock Outlet will close at the end of March at the old Zellers location.
The space has been vacant since March 2013, when Hudson’s Bay Company decided to close all of their Zellers brand locations.
