After only five months in operation, Nagel’s overstock in Owen Sound is closing.
Jason and Kim Nagel say earlier this month they were informed by Heritage Place management, their lease agreement has been terminated and that the space is being renovated for use by larger chain stores.
No word on what those stores will be.
The Nagels opened their outlet last August in the former Zeller’s location.
They note the decision didn’t come from the local level and mall management tried to find them another space.
The store featured brand name furniture, appliances, electronics, mattresses, clothing, computers household items and more.
And the Nagels dedicated free space to local non-profit organizations in their “community corner.”
Jason and Kim say it’s tough to see the store close after such a successful launch and revitalization to that part of the mall.
The store, which is in the former Zeller’s location will close at the end of March.
The Nagels are thanking their team for all of their hard work and dedication and offer best wishes moving into their future endeavours.
They say they also want to thank the people that came in every week to shop and support a local business.
