Owen Sound Police are investigating a stabbing.
Police say it happened Tuesday evening at about 9:30.
Police and EMS responded to a 911 call and and found a 25 year old Owen Sound man suffering from stab wounds to his neck and back.
Police say their investigation revealed the victim and suspect had been associating earlier in the day and evening and drinking alcohol at the victim’s apartment.
At some point an altercation occurred between the two men and the suspect was kicked out of the apartment.
According to police, a short while later the victim and suspect met again in the downtown core and the suspect allegedly attacked the victim, stabbing him in the neck and back with a knife.
Police say the victim is being treated in hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
They add the suspect was located a short time later by police and taken into custody without incident.
The suspect, a thirty year old resident of Owen Sound is facing charges of assault with a weapon, aggravated assault and failing to comply with a probation order.
He has a bail hearing Wednesday in Owen Sound.
