The Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation’s Christmas Angel Campaign is underway.
This year, it aims to help patients at the Hospital by bringing seven automated medication cabinets to nursing units across the hospital.
GBHS Chief of the Medical Staff, Brendan Mulroy says patient safety is critical to all of those working at the Hospital.
He says the new medication dispensing units ensure patients get the right medication in the right dose, at the right time.
The equipment will also alert nurses to patient medication allergies and conflicts.
And state of the art thumbprint locks give nurses fast, secure access.
Through the Christmas Angel Campaign, the Foundation is hoping to raise $300,000.
