The summer goes fast, doesn’t it ?
Among the many signs that the season is progressing rapidly is the annual Dream of Glory race at Hanover Raceway.
The richest race of the year at Hanover had a 2016 purse of $ 67,000 and a horse named ” Wildwild Men ” driven by Robert Shepherd made certain that they picked up the winners’ share.
” Wildwild Men ” bolted to the front on the opening turn and posted a time of 29 & 1 to the first quarter pole and was never seriously challenged for the course of the event.
After winning its elimination race the week before, ” Wildwild Men ” came in as the favorite and quickly displayed why.
Another elimination winner ” Smoke Monkey ” broke early and a large part of the Dream of Glory drama, like summer itself, seemingly vanished.
That’s not to say there isn’t significant races and events ahead at the track.
This week, the annual Country 93 Survivor Finale for handicappers concludes, plus the Balanced Image races commence August 20th and climax with the finale on August 27th at Hanover Raceway.
