Hi, this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire ” brought to you by your local Auto Logic, the Logical Choice.
The fastball scene in the region has been active this summer.
In fact in 2 days time there will be two Provincial Women’s Softball events; the Tier 1 tournament is being hosted in Chepstow while the Tier 2 tourney goes at Duncan McLellan Park.
The tournament at Duncan McLellan Park is sandwiched by a pair of Bantam tournaments; one completed, the other scheduled to commence in less than a week.
Backtracking, the Ontario Amateur Softball Association Bantam Championships were conducted last weekend and the level of success, certainly for Shallow Lake, was staggering.
The Sting went undefeated to win the ” A ” tournament while the Express valiantly came through the back door to win the ” B ” Tournament.
All of which whets the appetite for the upcoming Softball Canada National Bantam Championship Tournament which is set for August 10th-14th.
The Shallow Lake Sting along with highly competitive entries from Belmore, Napanee and Kitchener-Waterloo will represent Ontario in the 8 team playdown against 4 other entries from provinces across the country.
I’m Fred Wallace
