In a unique week, I will have been in Belfast, Dublin, Toronto, Owen Sound, Midland, Hanover and Meaford over a 7 day span.
Tonight in Meaford, the annual Tom Simms Memorial Fastball Tournament commences at 6:45 pm.
Fifteen teams, more than half of them local including Dooley’s Taxi of Meaford will compete over the next three days.
The Divisional Championship games will be Sunday at Croft Field with the ” C ” Final starting at 11 am followed by the ” B ” and the ” A ” Championship games.
One other fastball note, congratulations to the Owen Sound Selects of 2000, 2002 & 2003 who will be inducted into the OASA Hall of Fame this Fall.
Tomorrow night, the Dream of Glory Elimination races highlight the race card at Hanover Raceway.
Races 4 & 8 will determine which drivers and horses advance to the Dream of Glory Final July 30th at the track.
And a quick reminder that the Girls Field Lacrosse event runs tomorrow and Sunday at the Kiwanis Complex and the Senior NorthStars will play game 2 of their playoff with Brooklin Sunday night at 6 at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore
