Hi this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire ” brought to you by your local Auto Logic, the Logical Choice.
We’re virtually at the intersection of Spring and Summer which means there’s a remarkable number of activities for one and all to enjoy, sporting or otherwise.
Among the most interesting activities from a sports standpoint is the annual Scenic City Soccer Day tomorrow at the Kiwanis Soccer Complex in Owen Sound.
In a nutshell, as many Owen Sound squads as possible will play a home game tomorrow as part of the day.
Of note, the Owen Sound Joe Tomato’s Under 21 Women’s team will face Kitchener in Western Region game.
The Joe Tomato’s squad is coming off a 1-1 tie at Hillsburgh on Tuesday
Meanwhile, in the Ontario Soccer League, Grey Motors United will go against Toronto Irish at 3 pm tomorrow afternoon.
Last night, the Owen Sound squad played to a 3-3 tie at Aurora against the Hearts.
And around the multiple games, Peninsula Ford in Owen Sound is conducting their annual ” Drive 4 UR Community ” event.
There will be multiple vehicles from Peninsula Ford at the Kiwanis Complex and any time somebody takes a test drive from the Complex, a $ 20 pledge will be made to Minor Soccer.
Last year the campaign was a staggering success as it generated the max, $ 6,000, for Owen Sound Minor Soccer.
Have a great weekend and enjoy Scenic City Soccer Day
I’m Fred Wallace
