Huronia West OPP have now released the name of a man charged with murder, in a stabbing death at Wasaga Beach.
21 year old Dillon Childs of Wasaga Beach was arrested Tuesday on a charge of second degree murder.
Childs made his first appearance in a Barrie courtroom today and was remanded in custody for a video appearance on June 20th.
He is charged in connection with the death of 23-year-old Erick Tello-Arias of Caledon on Victoria Day.
The OPP say Tello-Arias was found dead near the pirate-themed “Skull Island” mini-putt course on Main Street in Wasaga Beach on May 23rd.
Tello-Arias’ death occurred less than a kilometre from where 18-year-old Francesco Molinaro, also of Caledon, was stabbed to death on May 21st.
No arrests have been made in that murder investigation.
Police say Molinaro was visiting Wasaga Beach for the Victoria Day long weekend.
The community was hosting the 2016 Electric Elements music festival.
Huronia West OPP ask any witnesses to either stabbing incident to come forward, or to contact Crime Stoppers.
