Hi, this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire ” brought to you by your local Auto Logic….the Logical Choice.
It’s the end of the month and essentially, it’s the end of another school season- maybe not in the classroom, but certainly on the athletic playing fields.
The school sporting season climaxes with the Spring Term OFSAA Championships and three entries from Bluewater have a series of big games this week.
Both the St Mary’s Lady Mustangs in rugby and the OSCVI Falcon Boys Field Lacrosse started play at their respective events yesterday in Ottawa and Georgetown.
The Lady Mustangs blanked Dr JM Denison 27-0 and will face Barrie Central in the Quarterfinal today.
The Falcons split their games yesterday and will play for 5th place today, starting with a match against Corpus Christi.
Ahead this week, the Georgian Bay Vikings will compete at the OFSAA ” A ” Boys Soccer Championship in Windsor
Plus, Windsor will also be the site for the OFSAA Track and Field meet that starts Thursday and runs through Saturday.
Girls Rugby, Boys Field Lacrosse and an OFSAA junket for the Meaford based Vikings may be either new or rare in all 3 cases, yet there’s no question, these Ontario Championship events will be unforgettable for our Bluewater athletes
I’m Fred Wallace
