OHL Introduces Alumni Association and Golf Tournament
The Ontario Hockey League today announced details regarding the formation of the OHL Alumni Association and first annual Golf Tournament.
The OHL Alumni Association is a member focused organization with the primary function of forming a global hockey based community directed towards strengthening and sustaining the connection and relationship between alumni, the league, and current players.
OHL players understand what is needed to make a successful team on the ice and we believe the same is true in life, said Adam Dennis, OHL Director of Player Recruitment. Our goal is to build an alumni team that can support players after they have graduated from the league and transition towards becoming significant contributors to society. The OHL has played a major role in the lives of all alumni and we aim to keep this connection going indefinitely.
The inaugural OHL Alumni Golf Tournament, hosted by the OHL Alumni Association, is the first of many networking events focused on bringing together former players from all generations.
The event takes place on Thursday June 16, 2016, at Pipers Heath Golf Club in Hornby, ON, beginning at 12:00 pm. Registration is now open online with sign-ups due prior to June 1 as spots are limited. GOLF TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION.
The OHL and the Alumni Association also inviting new members to register for a free online account where they will have the ability to stay up to date on upcoming association and league events, reconnect with old teammates, mentor a current player, and take advantage of all of the opportunities the vast network may provide. The OHL Alumni Association is also pleased to introduce the newly formed Executive Council bringing together individuals from across the hockey and business community to serve in leadership roles.
