Grey Bruce Health Services is looking to fill four vacancies on its Board of Directors.
The volunteer Board provides financial and quality oversight for the Corporation and its six hospitals.
GBHS President and CEO Lance Thurston says it is an exciting time to join the Board, as they are about to start a major renovation at our Southampton Hospital, and they have approval to build a new hospital in Markdale.
He says serving on the Board of Directors is an opportunity to work with a skilled and dedicated group of individuals with a common interest in ensuring quality health care for Grey and Bruce residents.
The current four vacancies will be filled by election for a term of up to three years, and may be re-elected for an additional two terms.
Applicants must live within any of the catchment areas served by GBHS, which includes the Bruce Peninsula, Centre Grey, Owen Sound, Meaford and Saugeen areas.
Two applicants will be elected as members at-large, and two will be selected as geographic representatives for Meaford and the Bruce Peninsula.
The deadline for application is April 26, 2016.
Applications are available online at www.gbhs.on.ca or by emailing or calling Joanne Carter at jcarter@gbhs.on.ca or 519-376-2121 Ext. 2801.
