Hi, this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire ” brought to you by your local Auto Logic…………the Logical Choice.
It’s the end of one month, but we’re looking forward to the end of the next.
St Dominique-Savio School in Owen Sound fully expects to offer the Hockey Canada Academy program for students come September.
There are still some administrative and training steps to be completed but Principal Chantal Bruneau fully expects the program to be in place for the next school year.
As part of the preparation for the course, Coaches Marc-Andr Proulx and Sebastien St-Amant will holding an information and hockey session on Saturday April 30th from 5-7pm at the Julie McArthur Regional Rec Centre.
While Coach Proulx and St Amant will be on the ice, a Principal from Woodstock will be in attendance with information regarding the program which currently operates at her school.
As you can imagine, the level of anticipation for the instructors and the level of excitement for the 40-odd projected students is quite high.
According to Coach St Amant, a typical week will include 3 on-ice sessions per week along with an off-ice or in-class hour as well.
Again, it’s late March, but on April 30th, interested parents of St Dominique-Savio students can get all the information they’ll need for the 2016 Hockey Canada Academy program to be implemented at the school
I’m Fred Wallace
