The Provincial Broomball Championships were staged over the weekend at Cornwall, Ontario
The biggest news in these parts came from the Intermediate Ladies Division were the Titans captured the Gold Medal.
Meanwhile in the Elite Ladies Division, OSS took the crown.
These Championship victories are notable in that the Titans come from our region while OSS will be coming to the region next month to compete in the Ladies Division at the Canadian Broomball Championships
There were 3 other teams at the Provincials that caught my attention.
The Phantoms Men’s team, the Polar Ice Ladies team and in the Co-ed Division, ” Heads or Tails ” all did well
The Phantoms won the Bronze Medal in the Elite Men’s Division.
Polar Ice also took bronze in the Elite Ladies Category.
Plus, Heads or Tails finished 4th in the Mixed Division.
Those three entries are scheduled to be in Owen Sound and be the respective host entries for the Canadian Broomball Championship Tournament that begins in 2 weeks time at both the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre and the Julie McArthur Regional Rec Centre.
