Hi this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire ” brought to you by Auto Logic, the Logical Choice.
For a Monday and Tuesday, the Ontario Hockey League has been quite active
Yesterday, the OHL Trade Deadline expired at noon.
Of note, Barrie sold a large portion of the farm to get Dylan Sadowy and Greg DiTomaso from Saginaw.
Plus, the Guelph Storm dealt the rights to NHL’er Robbie Fabbri to the Kitchener Rangers.
The Attack, although involved in two trade scenarios, did not make a transaction and are prepared to stay the course going forward.
All of which brings us to this evening and a rare Tuesday night visit to Owen Sound from the Kitchener Rangers.
I know, you expect me to give it to the schedule maker again; to ponder why Kitchener can come to Owen Sound on a Tuesday for 1 of their 4 visits per season while Owen Sound MUST go to Kitchener 4 times a year, ALWAYS on Friday nights, ALWAYS the night before a home game……but I’ll leave that for another day.
With the schedule in place and the Trade Deadline now bypassed, hockey is the name of the game.
The Rangers are 4th in the Western Conference trying to leapfrog London tonight.
The Attack are 6th, trying to outlast Sault Ste Marie and Saginaw while entertaining thoughts of catching Sarnia for 5th
Game time tonight for the Attack and Rangers is 7 pm at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.
I’m Fred Wallace
