It’s been an active week on a number of fronts.
The Selection Camp for Canada’s National Junior Hockey team was announced on Tuesday.
More than a dozen OHL’ers were selected for the Camp, a quarter of those from Kingston.
Does that make Kingston a front-runner for the OHL title ?
I’m not prepared to say that.
Nobody from the Owen Sound Attack was named to the Selection Camp.
I’m certainly not prepared to say Owen Sound was omitted or snubbed here. Just go back to the Hockey Canada Camps of the Summer when the only players invited to the U20, U18 and U17 evaluations were the underagers, players who hadn’t played a game yet.
In another interesting note, the ISS December Top 30 for the NHL Entry Draft has been released and in at # 23 is William Knierim, an Attack second rounder from 2014 who plays for Dubuque in the USHL.
There are brighter days ahead.
And the same applies to the Blue Jays who in spite of the wishful thinking of their fan base were harshly reminded that ” money talks “, and pitcher David Price is on his way to the Red Sox
Lots of the week is still in front of us. Enjoy
I’m Fred Wallace
