The Hexecutioners was almost exclusively filmed in Owen Sound — and the movie will make its Scenic City debut at the Roxy Theatre on Friday at 7:30 PM.
It’s a thriller produced by Collingwood’s Foresight Features.
According to the website Internet Movie Database (IMDB), The Hexecutioners is about two desperate young women employed by a company that conducts euthanasia.
The duo are sent to a remote estate to perform a custom assisted-suicide ritual, but unwittingly summon the ghosts of a Death Cult that previously inhabited the property.
The film stars Liv Collins of Aurora and Sarah Power.
Moreland Estate and Inglis Falls, just South of Owen Sound, served as a back-drop for much of the film — and Greenwood Cemetery and Sauble Beach are also featured.
Tickets for Friday’s screening are sold out.
