Hi, this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire ” brought to you by Auto Logic, the Logical Choice.
I was talking yesterday about US Thanksgiving and all the football options available for fans, be it NFL yesterday and Sunday or the Grey Cup Game Sunday night in Winnipeg between the RedBlacks and the Eskimos.
Truthfully, I might not get to watch much football this weekend- there’s too much hockey.
Yesterday I missed all 3 NFL games as I was on my way to Barrie and spent last night watching the Colts and Attack.
After spending last night at Midland, I’m on my way to London tonight as the Attack road stretch continues with a game at London against the Knights.
Then it gets busy…….
My Little League team, the McDonald’s Reds play at 8 tomorrow.
At noon, there’s a prize lunch at Boston Pizza for our Bears in Blue winner; 4 year old Ava Sadler.
At 5 my cousin’s son, Todd and his entourage will meet me in Owen Sound prior to the 3rd annual Bears in Blue Game between the Attack and London.
Of course, I could watch football Sunday, but I’m heading back to Midland for the finals of the annual Bob Merkley Silver Stick Tournament.
I played for Bob as far back as 1972 and the longevity of the tournament, heading towards 45 years, is a testament to a lot hard work through a lot of years.
The tournament should wrap up in time for the Grey Cup kickoff…but by then, I’m sure I’ll be wiped.
Have a great weekend.
I’m Fred Wallace
