The Port Elgin Curling Club will present their annual Superspiel this weekend.
Actually, the festivities kicked off last night with a pre-Superspiel sponsors get together at the club and today through Sunday it’s all action-all weekend.
Today’s slate of games will run close to 12 hours and then they’ll come back again tomorrow for Day 2 starting at 9 am.
Come Sunday morning at 9, the quarterfinal matches will be followed by the semifinals at noon and then the Championship Game at 3 pm.
There’s a full slate of rinks competing, in fact, the draw was filled almost a month ago, and what a field it is.
Ontario Curling Tour winners; Pat Ferris, Wayne Tuck and Jake Walker mixed in with Al Hutchinson, Daryl Shane and defending champion Peter Mellor- that’s deep.
Sp enjoy the weekend and if you’re anywhere near Port Elgin, enjoy Superspiel at the Curling Club.
