Hi, this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire ” brought to you by Auto Logic, the Logical Choice.
Make it memorable.
Purely and simply, that’s the essential goal for the local host committee of the 2016 Canadian Broomball Championship Tournament.
The National Championship will be staged in Owen Sound April 6th to the 9th utilizing both the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre and the ice pads at the Julie McArthur Regional Rec Centre.
But the organizing committee requires a lot more than playing surfaces.
Transportation, accommodation, entertainment, those are just a scattered few of the many areas that need to be addressed fully, properly, and well in advance to the event.
To that end, the organizing committee has announced that Best Western Inn on the Bay is the host hotel, which is a perfect fit with multiple games including both the semifinals and finals to be played at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre….located right across the parking lot from the Best Western. How’s that for convenient ?
But more than just convenience, the ultimate goal for the organizing committee is to make sure this event stands out for all the participants as one of the best ever.
The production of a such an event is well underway, but there’s many holes to be filled and the hope is that Owen Sound and area will be every bit as supportive and the tournament every bit as memorable for broomballers as previous championships, like the one in Newfoundland, have been.
I’m Fred Wallace
