Hi, this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire ” brought to you by Auto Logic, the Logical Choice.
It was an active week last week for the Owen Sound Lacrosse clubs.
The Senior NorthStars had an organizational meeting Tuesday night at Boston Pizza.
The primary goal for the meeting was to establish a larger executive structure and a larger base of volunteers for game days.
From the meeting, Adam McKeachnie emerged as the new President.
McKeachnie who has played all the way up in Owen Sound lacrosse admits he’s truly excited to be in the President’s Chair.
He says the early priorities are to name a new coach and acquire a major sponsor.
A major sponsor is not the issue for the Junior B NorthStars Lacrosse Club- they’re double covered with Coldwell Banker along with Garb & Gear.
However, the Junior NorthStars needed to replace Keith Peer as coach & General Manager and did so with the return of Rodney Tapp as coach and Andy Barfoot as the GM.
The lacrosse season won’t start for 6 months but both the Senior & Junior NorthStars have taken the first big steps in preparing for 2016.
I’m Fred Wallace
