An inmate at the Central North Correctional Centre in Penetanguishene is in a Toronto hospital with life-threatening injuries.
This after he was found beaten in his cell by another inmate Saturday evening.
Southern Georgian Bay OPP were called to investigate.
They have now charged 24-year-old Tristin Joseph Gregory Taylor of Perry Township with attempted murder and aggravated assault.
No other details are being released about the crime.
