It’s a happy ending to a scary story about a small child who wandered away during the early morning.
Owen Sound Police tell us a three year old child left the home where she and her dad were staying for the night.
Police aren’t sure how the three year old got out of the residence, but she was found safely by paramedics just after 6 AM on Thursday.
Police say two Grey County Paramedics observed the child, barefoot and in the company of the friends family dog, wandering around outside of the east end residence.
Bruce Grey Child and Family Services were notified about the situation.
Police remind parents with young children to ensure that proper attention and care is given to identify such hazards as a childs ability to leave a residence on their own, undetected.
You likely remember the tragic story of three-year-old Elijah, who wandered outside on a bitterly cold morning in Toronto wearing only a T-shirt and a diaper.
Sadly he died after being found between two houses the next morning.
Similarly, the boy was staying at his grandmother’s apartment for night, when he went missing.
