Lacrosse gets centre stage treatment today through Sunday in Owen Sound and in the region at large.
The Owen Sound Garb & Gear-Coldwell Banker NorthStars conclude the home portion of their Junior B Lacrosse season with games tonight and Saturday.
Tonight, it’s a divisional matchup as the NorthStars host Orangeville.
Saturday, the home finale for the Junior NorthStars will see them entertain Welland.
The two Junior B lacrosse games are sandwiched around the annual Owen Sound Minor Lacrosse-Father’s Day Weekend Tournament.
This year there are 5 divisions and close to 40 teams from across Ontario at the event.
As we’ve mentioned previously, the Opening Day has been altered and all 5 Owen Sound Minor teams will play their opening games at Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.
The tournament continues throughout the weekend at various venues in the region and then climaxes with 5 Divisional Championship Games Sunday at the Bayshore.
Thursday through Sunday- Junior B & Minor- plenty of action for lacrosse fans.
