The Huron Bruce NDP is holding a nomination meeting June 25th.
There are two nominees in the running to be the Federal candidate for Huron Bruce in the October election.
Gerard Creces is originally from the Zurich area. He is a journalist and musician and is well versed in the issues that play on the federal, provincial and municipal stages.
As a reporter with the Goderich Signal Star and with the Clinton News Record, Creces developed an intimate knowledge of the riding and its people.
Creces says he is ready to run and “take the power back.”
Jan Johnstone has been with the Bluewater District School Board for many years as a trustee. She has also been Chair of the Board and was Vice-chair of the Western Region on the Ontario Public School Boards Association.
She is a long time resident of Kincardine and a trained social worker with experience in both Huron and Bruce.
Jan also ran as the Huron Bruce NDP candidate in the 1997 Federal and 2014 Provincial elections.
The Huron Bruce Federal NDP Nomination meeting will be held at the MacKay Centre at the corner of Nelson and North Streets in Goderich on Thursday, June 25 at 7 PM.
