Thirty four goaltenders have been invited to the 10th annual Program of Excellence Goaltending Camp.
That includes Owen Sound Attack Goaltender Michael McNiven.
Hockey Canada made the announcement on Monday.
The group of 34 netminders that will attend the 10th annual Program of Excellence goaltending camp, June 12-14 at Canlan Ice Sports in Etobicoke, Ont.
The list includes nine goaltenders in the under-20 age category, all of which are candidates for Canadas National Junior Team.
Seven goalies from the under-18 category, which includes candidates for Canadas National Mens Under-18 Team.
Hockey Canada also invited 18 goaltenders in the under-17 category, who will have a look for a possible spot in the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
The goalies will work with a number of instructors during the three-day camp.
Mackenzie Blackwood of the OHL’s Barrie Colts, and Evan Cormier of Saginaw are two other names that standout on the list of 34.
The camp includes both on and off-ice sessions with instruction from Frdric Chabot of Hockey Canada.
Other prominent goaltender coaches like Ryan Cyr of Spokane, Mike Rosati of the Barrie Colts and Andrew Verner of Peterborough will also be in attendance.
Also included in the three-day camp are members of Hockey Canadas goaltending advisory board, who will work with the players and instructors: Corey Hirsch (Hockey Canada), Brady Robinson (Victoria, WHL), Dwayne Roloson (Anaheim, NHL), Mike Valley (Dallas, NHL) and Rick Wamsley (Ottawa, NHL).
