Asian Buffet in Owen Sound has plans to open it’s doors within 7 to 10 days.
Owner Benny Chen, from Collingwood is renting the building where the former Kings Buffet was, on the west side of the City.
Kings Buffet closed back in February of this year.
Chen tells Bayshore Broadcasting News he took over the lease about a month ago.
He says Asian Buffet will be open seven days a week and similar to Kings Buffet, however with more sushi.
Asian Buffet is not a franchise and has no business connection with Kings Buffet.
Chen says the restaurant will employ about 12 people, mostly new employees. He says there is a chance some former Kings Buffet employees will be hired.
Chen also owns Bamboo Restaurant in Collingwood.
