Hi this is Fred Wallace with Off The Wire, brought to you by Auto Logic…….the Logical Choice.
I’m 3 weeks in advance here, but there’s a neat wrinkle that’s been established for Owen Sound Minor Lacrosse and their annual tournament next month.
Of course, the most notable alteration is that the tournament will not be known as the Harry Kazarian Memorial Tournament.
After decades of running the event, the Kazarian Family hit a milestone number of years and elected to step back and assist rather than operate.
The new organizing group has come up with a unique idea for opening night, 3 Fridays from today.
The concept is to have every Owen Sound Minor Lacrosse team play on opening night at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.
Previously, specific venues hosted specific divisions of the tournament, but the idea was floated to have all of the Owen Sound teams play back to back to back….on opening night at the BIG venue and that motion was implemented.
Now, how many of those Owen Sound teams will get back to the Bayshore for Championship Sunday, well, that’s up to the Minor NorthStars and not the organizing committee.
I’m Fred Wallace
