Hi this is Fred Wallace with Off the Wire….brought to you by Auto Logic, the Logical Choice !!
Shows you what I know…….
In the Ontario Hockey League Playoffs, I called for a balanced Sault Ste Marie squad to win the Championship.
The Greyhounds lost to Erie in the Western Final, so naturally, I changed horses and, based on history, called for the Otters to beat Oshawa in the OHL Final.
To the credit of the Oshawa Generals, they won the Robertson Cup, and won it in a convincing 5 game triumph over Erie, and now the Generals will represent the Ontario Hockey League at the Memorial Cup which begins this weekend in Quebec City.
The Generals are deserving representatives having established a variety of club records for the storied history of the Oshawa franchise and having reversed the historical slide that had seen the Western Conference Champion win the OHL title 12 times in a 13 year span.
I have a tiny theory on how that happened, but most people won’t care, and I’m sure the Generals don’t care about my theory.
The only thing they’re interested in is winning 3 or 4 more games this week in Quebec City
I’m Fred Wallace
