We’re going to cram a whole bunch of stuff into a minute or so here as we head to the weekend.
First, the Junior B Lacrosse regular season for the Owen Sound Garb & Gear NorthStars commences tomorrow when they visit the Hamilton Bengals.
The game at Hamilton not only is significant as a season opener, but it also serves as a primer for the Junior Stars who will follow with 3 straight divisional games, the last of which will be their home opener on May 7th when they host the Guelph Regals.
In Senior Lacrosse, the older NorthStars will have to wait one more week before opening their season May 2nd at Six Nations.
Like the Junior NorthStars, the Seniors will play their first 3 games on the road before their home opener May 16th against Brooklin
And keep in mind, the home opener is a 2 pm start.
Elsewhere, the Bluewater Athletic Association has a need for rugby referees
The Southwest Ontario Rugby Referee Society is putting on a ref clinic in Walkerton on Monday from 5-9 pm followed by the annual Doogie Cup on Tuesday as a primer
