Jack Flinn Named Becker Shoes Player of the Week
The Owen Sound Attack has named veteran goaltender Jack Flinn the Becker Shoes Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 7th, 2015.
Flinn has been hot as of late and continued that play into the weekend. On Friday night, the 68 netminder turned aside 32 of 34 shots in a 3-1 (empty net) loss to the Guelph Storm and was named the games 3rd Star.
On Sunday, Flinn turned in what may have been his best performance of the season, stopping 42 of 43 shots in a 1-0 loss to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. Flinns puck stopping prowess earned him 1st star honors against the Hounds.
The Halifax native was not able to capture a win on the weekend, however; he did turn in a sparkling 1.52 GAA and .961 save percentage, giving his team a solid chance to win both games.
Flinn and the Attack is back in action when they hit the road on Thursday and Friday for games against Barrie and Guelph before returning home on Saturday for a date with the London Knights.
