Hi this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire “, brought to you by Auto Logic…..the Logical Choice !
Saturday I’m at the Bowling Alley for the annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake, which by the way was a terrific success again this year for Big Brothers of Owen Sound.
Among the star bowlers was Paul Boulter, the wizard of Wealth at TD Wealth, which reminded me that I wanted to speak with his sons who had turned in solid performances at the recent OFSAA Swim meet in Etobicoke.
Turns out both Boulter Brothers, William & James, were out of the pool on Saturday and helping their dad roll the big scores for Big Brothers at the Bowling Alley.
At the OFSAA swim meet, William Boulter was 7th in the 100 metre Breaststroke while his brother, James, had a top 20 in the 100 fly & a top 25 in the 100 back.
Most notably, the Boulters represented their school, Peninsula Shores District at the meet, which is quite an accomplishment when you consider there’s no pool facility in Wiarton.
Now the Boulters have been long time members for Owen Sound Aquatic, so their ability naturally has been enhanced through the years.
Still, what stands out here is the desire & dedication to make a 40 mile round trip, almost every day of the week to Owen Sound for club duties, and then add to an already busy schedule to represent your school at OFSAA.
I can’t say exactly what the Boulter Family rolled at Bowl for Kids’ Sake, but I doubt it was as impressive as their results at the OFSAA Swim Meet.
