A 70 year old Collingwood man has been convicted in connection with sexual assault cases between 1965 and 1979.
The Crime Unit of the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP charged Ronald Currie in June of 2014.
He faced charges of four counts of gross indecency and four counts of indecent assault on a female.
Currie was sentenced recently in a Barrie court to a conditional sentence of two years less a day, one year probation, a weapons ban for 10 years, he is banned from parks and playgrounds for 3 years and will be put on the sex offender registry.
He was sentenced on three counts with the terms to be run concurrently, while the other charges were withdrawn.
